Rockadayjohnny, interesting idea that, but it does not work, sound is a wave form, it needs a substance to travel through, it is an effect that can be observed by the frequency of the wave moving through a substance.

SDPerk, interesting idea, anti-matter is different to dark matter, anything made of anti-matter that came into contact with matter would explode, so we would have an observable effect, not many anti-matter explosions lately.
Dark matter, this is the matter that we so far have not been able to prove the existence off, so if you can provide a dark matter demon you would I suspect get a Noble prize in physics out of it.

Joe P and Invisible Spiritman: These are exactly the answers that I would expect, and I would suggest exactly the answers that the asker is expecting, and they do not work at all, to claim that their are substances that are still unknown to us is fair enough, there may in deed be such things, although anyonce with basic knowledge will tell you that the chemical elements of the period table are complete apart from man made elements that are created under laboratory conditions and never could be found in nature.
To suggest that ethereal beings are made of types of matter that will always be unknow to us as it only exists in the spirit world would negate the ability of ethereal or supernatural beings being able to come into this world and interact, they would either explode like antimatter or they would simply not be able to interact at all.
You are also defeated by the logic of your own arguments, if something is made of a material that is unable to exist in the world, and we are unable to know about it, then it cannot have any affect on this world, otherwise a detectable reaction would take place. Therefore such beings cannot exist in this world.
For anything to exist in this universe it must obey the laws of physics, it will either be a form of matter, or a form of energy, as each of these things act upon the other, a cause and effect will occur.

Spirits, angels, demons are spiritual and cannot be classified using physical parameters.
God is spiritual. Jesus is fully God and fully man. Being fully man, Jesus is made up of the same chemical elements as we are. We are created in the image of God, we are a spirit or soul. Jesus’ spiritual aspects, as with our spiritual aspects can, again, not be classified using physical parameters.
God, man, angels, and demons, if all are composed of chemical elements it is not of this world, therefore can not be known to this world.
